Environmental Solutions Worldwide Appoints Kenneth Nichols To CEO
MARKHAM, Ontario--Aug. 24, 2001--Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc. (ESW) (OTCBB:ESWW), a company that develops, manufactures and markets environmental technologies, today announced the appointment by its Board of Directors of Kenneth R. Nichols, an auto industry veteran, as the company's Chief Executive Officer effective August 16th, 2001.Mr. Nichols brings with him more than two decades of experience in the automotive sector. In 1979, he founded Ventra Group, Inc. , a leading, multi-million dollar, international auto parts maker and Tier 1 OEM supplier, and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until February 2001. While under his management, Ventra Group matured from originally owning and operating one plant with approximately $500,000 in annual revenue to 25 plants worldwide with sales in excess of $700 million annually. He was also responsible for taking the Company public through a reverse (merger) in 1989 and for the acquisitions of two industry leaders in 1993 and 1994. In addition, he has served as Chairman of the Canadian Automotive Parts Manufacturing Association and in 1996 was the recipient of Ontario Business Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year award.

ESW's Board of Directors has accepted Mr. Mark Nicole's resignation as the companies CEO and Director. Mr. Nicole tendered his resignation to the Board on August 14th 2001 sighting personal reasons.
