BACKSTREET BOYS return to their “BLACK & BLUE WORLD TOUR 2001” August 24 in
Milwaukee, WI. Friday’s show will be the first of the re-scheduled dates for
BACKSTREET BOYS, whose tour was postponed--beginning with their July 9 Boston,
MA show--so that group member AJ McLEAN could seek treatment for depression.
The trek was initially set to resume with their previously scheduled August 7
performance in Vancouver, BC, but was postponed again July 31 so that AJ could
have a few additional weeks in transitional care.
At the same time, BACKSTREET BOYS fans can look forward to the October 23
worldwide release of the group’s first-ever collection of hits package, CHAPTER
1, and an accompanying home VHS video and DVD. The group--NICK CARTER, HOWIE
DOROUGH, BRIAN LITTRELL, AJ McLEAN and KEVIN RICHARDSON--shot a video in Los
Angeles last week with director Paul Boyd (Sting, Shania Twain) for the album’s
single, “Drowning,” which features KEVIN on piano and will be released September
17. Following their U.S. tour, look for BACKSTREET BOYS to support the new
single and album with television appearances across the globe.
