Cincinnati Machine and DS Technologie GmbH DST Announce Changes to Strengthen Partnership

    CINCINNATI--Aug. 23, 2001--In response to changing international market conditions and in an effort to remain focused on manufacturers' needs, Cincinnati Machine and DS Technologie GmbH (DST) have introduced a restructuring plan for the operations of Cincinnati DST LLC.
    Under the plan, new DST equipment sales will be made through DS Technology (USA) Inc. and Cincinnati rebuild and retrofit services will now be offered through Cincinnati PLUS(SM).
    The new plan is laid out to best utilize each company's strengths while providing continuity by keeping the current management, sales and service teams. Customers will see no change in the world-class product offering or the superior support services offered by Cincinnati Machine and DS Technology (USA) Inc.
    DS Technology (USA) Inc., in operation since 1997, will be headquartered and operate on the Cincinnati Machine campus in Cincinnati, OH. The company is responsible for all new machine sales, service and support activities in North America for DST's Droop + Rein, Doerries, Scharmann, Berthiez and aircraft lines of large capacity, heavy duty machine tools.
    In addition to the operational restructuring, the companies announced that they would continue close global collaboration.
