James Selwa Named President of ASC Marketing Services

                 ASC launches new marketing services division

    SOUTHGATE, Mich., Aug. 23 Automotive veteran James G.
Selwa has been named President and COO of ASC Marketing Services, according to
Lawrence P. Doyle, President and CEO of ASC Incorporated.  Selwa will be
responsible for the communications and marketing services of all ASC
companies.  He also will head the new ASC Marketing Services, which combines
current business development, marketing and vehicle personalization teams, to
create a leading-edge resource for the introduction and marketing of specialty
vehicles.
    "This new structure is consistent with ASC's strategy of being a full-
service partner for all aspects of specialty vehicle development and
delivery," said David Treadwell, Chairman of ASC.  "We are now able to provide
a unique service to our customers that not only allows for quick-to-market
special vehicles, but rapid and highly focused marketing programs designed to
enhance the brand."

    ASC Marketing Services also will focus on vehicle personalization and
accessorization.  "Vehicle accessory programs are an important component of a
comprehensive specialty vehicle marketing plan," said Selwa.  "They enhance
the personalization of the vehicle for enthusiasts and can be used to create
unique editions that build image and excitement for the brand.  Through my
experience with several manufacturers I have seen how vehicle accessorization
programs can be a significant benefit to a brand.  ASC understands the

    Selwa joins ASC from Land Rover of North America where he served as vice
president of marketing.  Previously he was President and CEO of Lotus Cars
USA, and Chairman and CEO of a marketing services company whose clients
included Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Bentley
Motor Cars and Volvo.  He began his career at American Motors/Jeep in 1971.
