Kenworth News Alert: Record-Breaking T200 on
ESPN II
NOTE TO EDITORS: According to the current ESPN II broadcast schedule on its
website, this year's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb 30-minute show on
big rigs/trucks will first air on Thursday, Aug. 23 at 11:30 p.m. (EDT). The
broadcast features the Kenworth/CFI T2000 Red Racer Peak Performer and
driver Bruce Canepa racing to a record time of 13 minutes, 59.6 seconds over
the difficult, twisting 12.42-mile course. That shattered the previous
Highway Class/Big Rig Division record of 14 minutes 34.41 seconds set by
Canepa at last year's Pikes Peak race.
NOTE: The ESPN II website lists broadcast times in Eastern Daylight Time. Be
sure to double-check your local listings to verify broadcast time in your
