ANSYS, Inc. Strengthens Asia-Pacific Presence Through Exclusive Agreement With United Automotive Electronic Systems, Co., Ltd.
SHANGHAI, China, Aug. 21 ANSYS, Inc. , a global innovator of simulation software used by engineers to analyze computer- aided designs, recently expanded ANSYS product installations in the Asia- Pacific territory by entering into an agreement with United Automotive Electronic Systems, Co., Ltd., (UAES) a subsidiary branch of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. (SAIC). The contract, signed through the ANSYS-Shanghai sales office, grants UAES expanded use of ANSYS/Multiphysics in order to meet the increasing product demands set forth by automotive manufacturers. Through its divisions, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. manufactures passenger cars, tractors, motorcycles, trucks, buses and automotive parts. SAIS provides system integration services to the companies under SAIC. The end user of this purchase is UAES. To improve product quality and reduce design cycles, UAES intends to expand usage of ANSYS structural, thermal, Computational Fluid Dynamics and fatigue analyses functionality to simulate a series of automotive electronic products during the research and development process.
