Technology Visions Group Finalizes Australasian Contract
CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 21 Technology Visions Group, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: TVGR) announced the signing of a test and evaluation
contract with one of the largest recyclers of automotive batteries in
Australasia, a region which encompasses Australia, New Zealand, and
neighboring islands and territories and the Southern Pacific Ocean. The
client has requested anonymity during the initial phases of the contract.
However, as outlined in the contract, TVGI is evaluating and developing a safe
effective method for the treatment and stabilization of the company's heavy
metal fly ash waste from their processing plant.
"We are pleased to work with a company that has proven itself to be a
corporation committed to environmental concerns," commented James Lahey,
President of TVGI. "The company we will be working with is very interested in
safely neutralizing and disposing of the waste components of lead acid
batteries which totals approximately 10 million pounds annually. They have
requested that Technology Visions Group develop a safe and cost effective
method to ensure that their smelting furnace waste, which includes heavy
metals, meets regulatory approvals for disposal. This includes halting
leaching and lowering the acidic (pH) levels to meet regulatory requirements.
We are extremely excited about the potential for this partnership and its
implications worldwide."
The contract is the result of TVGI's presence at WasteMINZ 2000 Conference
last year in New Zealand. Christopher M. Miller, Ph.D., one of two key
Technology Team Consultants, represented TVGI at the conference. The next
step in the development process is to have samples of the fly ash waste sent
to TVGI for examination and testing.
