Kenworth Names Clarke as General Sales Manager

KIRKLAND, Wash., Aug. 16, 2001 - Kenworth Truck Company has named Dave
Clarke to the position of Kenworth general sales manager.

Clarke will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the
Kenworth truck sales organization in the U.S. and Canada. He will report to
Tony McQuary, Kenworth assistant general manager for sales and service.

Before joining Kenworth, Clarke most recently served as assistant general
manager with responsibility for operations, sales administration and systems
at PACCAR Parts. During his more than 20 years with PACCAR, Clarke has held
various positions at PACCAR Parts in materials, operations, marketing, and
sales. 

Clarke has a B.S. degree from Simon Fraser University and an executive MBA
from the University of Washington.
