Superior Industries International Earns GM Agreement to Supply Wheels
VAN NUYS, Calif.--Aug. 16, 2001--Superior Industries International, Inc. announced today that it has been chosen by General Motors Corp. to supply aluminum road wheels for multiple GM vehicle lines over the next several years.Superior is a 2000 GM Supplier of the Year and was awarded the unprecedented contract based on its ability to consistently provide GM with world-class levels of quality, technology, service and price.
"This agreement is a milestone for Superior because it gives us the ability to work closely with General Motors on multiple vehicle lines for an extended period of time," said Louis L. Borick, President and Chairman. "That provides us with longer term stability and will allow us greater participation in the product design and manufacturing process, which will ultimately lead to lower costs for GM."
