Sika Industry Announces Star Distributor Program for Auto Glass Distributors

            Program Increases Business, Reduces Risk and Liability

    MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich., Aug. 16 The Auto Glass Repair
division of Sika Industry announces the Sika Star Distributor Program.  The
Sika Star Distributor program will help distributors increase business,
improve retail glass shop loyalty, provide distributor employee recognition,
improve the safety and quality standards in auto glass installation and reduce

    To be certified as a Sika Star Distributor, the distributor must meet
four key requirements:

    1.  Product Knowledge Training
        Managers, sales people and customer service representatives attend a
        90-minute training course.  Each attendee will receive a training
        completion certificate for public display.  Employees will be trained
        in proper usage of required cleaners, primers and adhesives as well as
        stocking and storing Sika products.

    2.  Maintenance of Product Documentation
        All trained personnel will maintain and refer to the Sika Star
        Distributor manual.
        Accurate and updated technical data keeps distributors current in
        their product knowledge and provides the ability to answer all product
        and installation questions from customers.

    3.  Distributor Maintenance of Required Primers and Cleaners
        Proper inventory management and ability to deliver on demand increases
        sales and reduces risks and liabilities associated with using a wrong
        product or not having the correct product available.

    4.  Distributor Maintenance of Sika Polyurethane products inventory.
        100% on-time product delivery increases distributor reliability and
        increases sales as well.
