Korean Automotive Supplier Selects MTS for Integrated Solutions

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Aug. 15 MTS Systems Corporation announced today that Korean
automotive components manufacturer Duck Yang Industry Company, Ltd., has
selected MTS as the full system supplier for component design validation.
Duck Yang, 51 percent owned by U.S.-based Visteon , designs and
manufactures sophisticated automobile instrument panels. The company placed
the order with MTS for physical testing hardware coupled with MTS's I-DEAS(TM)
Pro sound quality software to evaluate durability and noise characteristics of
new panel designs.
"Duck Yang's choice of MTS is another confirmation of our strategy to
develop and integrate hardware and software tools," said Sidney W. Emery, Jr.,
chairman and CEO of MTS. "It is also typical of the broad international
alliances that shape today's buying decisions. Duck Yang is a lead supplier
to Hyundai Motor Company and therefore must meet its design criteria. In
addition, Duck Yang develops new products within the Visteon process for
automotive OEM's. Thus, consistency and transparency of design data are
critical. MTS's solutions that encompass the latest technology in analytical,
physical and NVH data analysis tools are tailored to meet these needs."
