Korean Automotive Supplier Selects MTS for Integrated Solutions
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Aug. 15 MTS Systems Corporation announced today that Korean automotive components manufacturer Duck Yang Industry Company, Ltd., has selected MTS as the full system supplier for component design validation. Duck Yang, 51 percent owned by U.S.-based Visteon , designs and manufactures sophisticated automobile instrument panels. The company placed the order with MTS for physical testing hardware coupled with MTS's I-DEAS(TM) Pro sound quality software to evaluate durability and noise characteristics of new panel designs. "Duck Yang's choice of MTS is another confirmation of our strategy to develop and integrate hardware and software tools," said Sidney W. Emery, Jr., chairman and CEO of MTS. "It is also typical of the broad international alliances that shape today's buying decisions. Duck Yang is a lead supplier to Hyundai Motor Company and therefore must meet its design criteria. In addition, Duck Yang develops new products within the Visteon process for automotive OEM's. Thus, consistency and transparency of design data are critical.
