Budget Group Appoints VP, CTO and VP, Shared Services

    LISLE, Ill., Aug. 15 Budget Group, Inc. , which
owns Budget Rent a Car Corporation and Ryder TRS, Inc., announced the
appointment of Tyler Best as Vice President, Chief Technology Officer and
David Coonfield as Vice President, Shared Services.
 
   Best will oversee all information technology functions across Budget
Group.  He most recently served as the Executive Strategist and Chief
Information Officer for Lifestyle Furnishings International in High Point,
N.C.

    Coonfield will be responsible for all financial shared services processing
activities at corporate centers in Orlando and Denver.  He has successfully
built, staffed and operated shared services centers in two different
environments with RH Macy & Company, Inc. in Phoenix and with the New York
Times Company in Norfolk, Va.
