iQ Power to Unveil World's First Smart Battery at Frankfurt 2001

iQ Power on Schedule to Present Its Smart Battery Around the IAA International
Motor Show Being Held in September of This Year in Frankfurt, Germany

MUNICH, Germany and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 14 iQ POWER (OTC Bulletin Board: IQPR) confirms that it is scheduled to publicly
showcase the world's first chip controlled automobile battery ready for serial
production during the 2001 IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt. iQ
Power Technology Inc. will present its GEN I Battery on September 13 and 14,
2001, the two days the IAA is open for trade visitors only. iQ Power will
also present the aspects of its business plan covering the proposed rollout of
its smart energy management systems technology for automobiles.
This two-day presentation is intended to give trade experts in the
automobile industry, the media, and the investment community attending the IAA
the chance for an intense dialog with iQ management.
The forum is being held offsite from the IAA as it shortens the effective
presentation period that management and technical personnel must attend the
show from IAA's 14 days to 2 days of intensive technical presentations to a
captive target audience. According to Peter E. Braun, CEO of iQ Power, "The
new framework will enable us to make this event more attractive and
informative by providing visitors with the opportunity to converse directly
with iQ management."

Further details of the event are available at http://www.iqpower.com
