Hyundai AutoNet Signs Deal With iBiquity to Go Digital

Global Supplier of Automotive Products to Develop and Market
                           AM and FM Digital Radios

COLUMBIA, Md. and WARREN, N.J., Aug. 14 iBiquity Digital,
the sole developer and licenser of digital AM and FM radio broadcast
technology in the U.S., and Korean based Hyundai AutoNet, a global supplier of
automotive products and the primary manufacturer of car audio and automotive
electronics for Hyundai and Kia automobiles, today announced that they have
signed a joint technology and marketing development agreement. Under the
terms of the agreement, Hyundai AutoNet will develop and market digital AM and
FM radios using iBiquity's digital broadcast technology.
"We are extremely pleased that Hyundai AutoNet has joined with iBiquity to
bring this next generation of AM and FM radio to the driving public," said
David Salemi, Vice President, Marketing, iBiquity Digital. "Hyundai and Kia
automobiles are quickly gaining popularity in the U.S. market, and Hyundai
AutoNet, as those manufacturers' primary receiver supplier, is an important
partner for iBiquity."
"iBiquity Digital's AM and FM digital radio technology will radically
change the radio listeners' experience by enhancing the sound quality and
adding a telematics component," said Mr. Sung-Hoon Hong, Director of R&D
Center. "We expect U.S. consumers to adopt this new technology quickly and
are anxious to begin working with iBiquity to ensure that our automotive
customers are prepared to offer digital radio to consumers."
Today, radio in the United States is broadcast using analog signals.
iBiquity Digital's AM and FM digital broadcasting technology will enable
today's radio broadcasters to transmit a digital signal capable of integrating
CD-quality audio with crystal clear reception and wireless data signals. This
integrated audio and data transmission capability will enable a variety of
consumer applications, such as station and program content, stock and news
information, local traffic and weather.
