Fitch Issues Presale Rpt On Ford Credit Auto Owner Trust 2001-D

    NEW YORK--Aug. 14, 2001--Fitch has issued a presale report on Ford Credit Auto Owner Trust 2001-D discussing the rating analysis behind Fitch's expected `AAA' ratings on the class A notes, `A' ratings on the class B notes and `BBB+' ratings on the class C certificates. The securities are backed by a pool of prime retail installment sales contracts secured by new and used automobiles and light duty trucks.
