    DEERFIELD, Ill., Aug. 13 FleetPride Inc., the nation's
largest aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck parts, today announced
that John J. Greisch has resigned from the positions of President, Chief
Executive Officer and Director.  Mr. Greisch's resignation will become
effective at such time as the Company appoints his successor.  An active
search for his successor is currently underway, and Mr. Greisch will work with
the Chairman of the Board and the Company's operating executives during this
transition period.

    Mr. Greisch stated, "I am proud to have helped build FleetPride into the
leading independent distributor in the heavy-duty aftermarket over the past
three years.  The Company is now positioned to take advantage of growth
opportunities as the industry and overall economy recover."
    Fred Warren, Chairman of the Board of Directors, remarked, "Mr. Greisch
has been instrumental in building FleetPride rapidly over three years, and we
thank him for his efforts at the Company.  We wish him well in his future
endeavors."  Mr. Warren added, "Aurora and Brentwood, the Company's principal
shareholders, are now looking forward to the next stage of the Company's
development and success under new leadership."
    FleetPride operates more than 160 locations in 33 states and carries a
full line of nationally recognized brand name parts as well as an assortment
of private brand parts.
    In addition, FleetPride offers in-house re-manufactured products such as
brake shoes, transmissions, rear axles and driveline components.  Truck and
trailer repair services are also offered at a number of locations.
