Tony Elliott continued his mastery of his hometown Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway Sunday night, winning the 20-lap USAC Regional Dirt-Track Midget Car feature event at the 1/4-mile dirt oval.

Elliott, now fourth in the series standings going into a September 1 race at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind., passed Bill Baue on the fifth lap and led the rest of the way in his Lamers/Hoosier Claxton/Stealth. Series point leader Shane Hollingsworth finished second, ahead of Joe Roush, Jon Foster and Matt Sandy.

Hollingsworth's lead in the standings is 35 points over John Wolfe, who was eighth at Kokomo. The September 1 Putnamville race is USAC's 50th Annual Hoosier Lottery "Hut 100", which affords points toward both the WorldCom National Midget Car and USAC Dirt-Track Regional Midget Car championships.
