Automotive Veteran Phil Nome Assumes Role of COO at MyRepairShop
HOUSTON--Aug. 13, 2001--MyRepairShop(TM) Inc., a leading aftermarket service provider and advocate for independent automotive repair facilities, has named Phil Nome as its chief operating officer. In the newly created position, Nome oversees the company's business activities in support of its national network of independent repair shop owners.Chief Executive Officer Brad Hays commented, "Phil has a profound understanding of how the automotive industry works and understands how today's challenges impact each segment within the aftermarket supply chain. While Nome most recently served as CEO of Tier 1, an automotive design studio, he spent the majority of his career with Ford Motor Company. He joined the leading automotive manufacturer in 1967 as a parts and service specialist, and worked his way through a series of management-level positions in various Ford divisions, including Lincoln-Mercury and Ford Parts and Service. His career with Ford culminated in a senior marketing and sales position in which he developed new retail market strategies and market study processes.
Nome earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
