Valeo Names Timothy Glock Group Customer Director for DaimlerChrysler
AUBURN HILLS, Mich.--Aug. 10, 2001--Timothy J. Glock has been appointed group customer director, DaimlerChrysler Corporation, a newly created position at Valeo, a leading supplier of innovative components, systems and modules for cars and trucks.He reports to Hans-Peter Kunze, senior group vice president -- sales and business development for Valeo worldwide. The appointment was announced by Edward K. Planchon, chairman, Valeo North America and senior group vice president, corporate affairs.
"Tim will lead Valeo business development activities at DaimlerChrysler Corporation, ensuring the offering of world-class levels of technology, quality, service and cost across all 11 Valeo product lines," said Planchon. "Tim brings 27 years of automotive sales and marketing leadership experience that will continue to strengthen Valeo's long relationship with DaimlerChrysler worldwide."
Prior to joining Valeo in 1997 as director - sales and marketing for Valeo Thermal Systems, Glock held various senior management positions at A.O. Smith and Calsonic Corporation.
Glock received a BBA in marketing and economics from University of Wisconsin. He is a member of Society of Automotive Engineers, Sales and Marketing Executives, American Marketing Association and the United Way.
