2nd Annual Expanded Fuel for Life Blood Drive

     WHEN: Monday, August 13, 2001
            8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

     WHERE: AAA Texas office
            2234 FM 1960 West

WHY: AAA Texas and its partners are reaching out into
the community to help keep kids safe and save lives.

    Blood Drive:

-- In recent weeks, blood supply levels at area hospitals have
reached critical lows due to Tropical Storm Allison. Flooding
forced The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center to cancel many
blood drives. AAA Texas has joined forces with The Blood
Center in sponsoring the 2nd Annual Fuel for Life Blood Drive
to help restore and save lives. All donors receive a coupon
for a pint of Blue Bell ice cream. Donors are also able to
participate in a drawing on selected items including tee
shirts, water bottles and antenna balls.

    Free Fingerprinting:

-- As kids get ready to head back to school, it helps parents to
have up-to-date information on them. Research indicates that
when children are missing, it is helpful for parents and
police to have fingerprints, vital statistics and a current
    photo on hand.

Partners for the event include: AAA Texas, Boost America!, Harris County Sheriff's Department, Northwest Assistance Ministries -- Children's Clinic, Ozarka, SouthEast Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council, Toys "R" Us.
