Roadway Express Sends Thirty-Eight Best-of-the-Best Drivers to National Truck Driving Championships

    AKRON, Ohio--Aug. 7, 2001--Roadway Express, Inc. proudly announces that 38 of its professional drivers will be on their way to compete against the industry's best drivers at the 64th National Truck Driving Championships August 22-25, 2001 to be held in Minneapolis, Minn. The American Trucking Associations sponsors the event.
    These state champions deserve the highest recognition for their dedication to safety, driving skills and professionalism. Their advancement to the finals merits them the "best-of-the-best" designation across the nation. Both the state and national competitions include difficult driving skills and maneuvering tests, pre-trip inspections and a written examination covering vehicle operation and federal safety regulations.
