ASC Realizes Significant Savings Through SupplySolution's i-Supply Service

Supply chain technology helps supplier achieve major improvements in managed
inventory within four months of implementation

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug. 7 SupplySolution, Inc., the
leading provider of supply chain execution applications for manufacturing,
distribution, exchange and supplier organizations, today announced a number of
significant milestones that the company has reached with current customer ASC
Incorporated, a global supplier of specialty vehicles and open-air systems.
ASC has significantly reduced inventory working with SupplySolution and its
i-Supply application, and has driven notable process improvements within four
months of Service implementation in five locations.
i-Supply is currently one of the manufacturing industry's most widely-used
Web-based applications for direct material fulfillment, now operating at more
than 1,100 supplier companies worldwide.
In July 2000, ASC signed a contract to implement i-Supply in its Lansing,
Mich. plant, which manufactures convertible tops for several automotive
manufacturers. Within four months, the on-hand inventory level and
administrative costs were significantly reduced. "The employees in our
Lansing Plant deserve recognition for their efforts to identify areas for
continuous improvement and for implementing those changes; the i-Supply
application has helped us in this process," said Brian Krichbaum, vice
president of manufacturing at ASC.
In February 2001, SupplySolution led an expanded rollout to additional ASC
plants in Cambridge, Ontario; Doraville, Ga.; Gibraltar, Mich. and Normal,
Ill. Within four months of Service implementation, these plants also
experienced a significant inventory reduction.

"We continue to be impressed by the range of benefits offered by i-Supply
Service," said Krichbaum. "The company has provided many innovations as we
strive for continuous improvement in the efficiency of our inventory
management systems."
"SupplySolution is proud to announce the success of our relationship with
ASC, and would like to emphasize that the savings demonstrated by the company
are not unusual to those seen following the implementation of our
technologies," said SupplySolution senior vice president of sales and business
development Don Woerner. "Companies who implement our applications can see
significant cost reductions and process improvements within two-to-four
month's time. The results speak for themselves."
