Digital Motorworks to Open Detroit Office in 2001
AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 7 Digital Motorworks (DMi), a leading
provider of information management solutions for the auto industry, will open
offices in the Detroit area later this year, according to CEO Keith Jezek.
Located in Southfield's Town Center office complex, the new facility will
enable DMi to expand its Detroit presence to include permanent sales and
support staff.
DMi is a profitable high-tech company that tripled its revenues in 2000.
The company collects information from over 9,000 dealership systems -- or more
than 40% of North America's dealers. Using its InfoIQ Solution, DMi customers
also provide 95 of the nation's top 100 automotive e-dealers with the online
data needed to support their e-business initiatives.
Founded in Austin, Texas in 1995, DMi has developed a strong customer
base in Detroit. DMi customers currently include Ford, General Motors,
AutoNation, Cars.com and American Axle and Manufacturing.
"DMi products and services enable automakers, automotive portals and
major dealer groups to implement their e-business initiatives rapidly and
thereby accelerate the returns on their investments," Jezek said. "The
opening of a Detroit office will provide DMi with further valuable insight
into the Detroit automotive community and enable us to respond rapidly to the
needs of that market.
"While the nature of our information management business does not require
physical proximity to our customers in order to deliver the information they
need, we are pleased to be opening the Detroit office to support our rapidly
expanding business in the automotive sector."
The company's headquarters will remain in Austin, which provides a ready
source of technical talent and a central location from which DMi can easily
travel to its customers throughout the United States.
