Jan Trommershausen new General Manager at SaarGummi; Dr. Karrenbauer moves on to Board of Directors

    ANN ARBOR, Mich.--Aug. 6, 2001--Effective August 1st, 2001, Jan Trommershausen was appointed spokesperson of the management of SaarGummi GmbH in Wadern-Bueschfeld, Germany.
    Together with Achim Pietsch and Dr. Wolfgang Schneider, Mr. Trommershausen forms SaarGummi's business management team.
    The 36-year old Bachelor of Business Science succeeds Dr. Michael Karrenbauer, who, on January 1st, 2001, joined the Board of Directors of SaarGummi's parent company, RAG Saarberg AG. Dr. Karrenbauer had served in both positions for the past seven months.
    Prior to joining SaarGummi, Mr. Trommershausen was a General Manager at DBT Maschinenfabrik Scharf GmbH in Hamm/Germany, a leading international supplier of transportation technology for sub-surface mining.
    SaarGummi develops and manufactures sealing systems for the automotive and construction industries. Especially in the automotive field, the company has pursued an ambitious internationalization strategy since last year, acquiring new locations in North and South America, as well as Eastern Europe.
    Upon this foundation, SaarGummi now focuses on extending its competency as a global system partner for major automotive OEMs.
    SaarGummi North American operations are headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
