Carlisle Elects Anthony W. Ruggiero to Board

    SYRACUSE, N.Y.--Aug. 6, 2001--Carlisle Companies Incorporated announced today the election of Anthony W. Ruggiero to its board of directors.
    Tony Ruggiero is Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of Olin Corporation. Tony has also held senior management positions at Readers Digest Association and was with Squibb Corporation as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and a member of Squibb's Board of Directors.
    Tony Ruggiero holds an MBA in finance from Columbia University, a BS degree in economics from Fordham University and a post master's certificate in accounting from Iona College.
