ISO/TS 16949 is an option for suppliers who provide products and services
to the international automotive community. By earning ISO/TS 16949
certification, suppliers avoid having to register their quality systems to
several different regional automotive specifications. ISO/TS 16949 is based
on the following existing standards: QS-9000, VDA-6.1, AVSQ, ISO-9001:1994 and
EAQF.
NSF-ISR is one of a select group of registrars in the world to be
recognized by the IATF. Members of the IATF include General Motors (Opel-
Vauxhall), DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Peugeot-Citroen, Volkswagen, Renault SA,
Fiat and their trade associations. International registration programs, such
as ISO/TS 16949, demonstrate NSF-ISR's dedication to both its international
and domestic customers.
"NSF-ISR is very pleased to be able to offer ISO/TS 16949 certification,"
said Kevan Lawlor, President, NSF-ISR. "This IATF recognition demonstrates
NSF-ISR's commitment to providing its clients with the services they need to
be competitive on a global basis."
"A major objective in Henderson's business plan was to take the next
logical step after QS-9000 and successfully pass the ISO/TS 16949 registration
audit," said Terry Moffat, General Manager, Henderson's Automotive, Inc. "We
are very pleased with the improvements that we have made to our company, and
we look forward to working with potential new customers in Europe and the U.S.
Our team worked well with the NSF-ISR auditor. The audit was fair and
unbiased."
    "The management of A & K Finishing chose registration to ISO/TS 16949
because it offered a method to unify our quality system to conform to the
global standards of the 21st Century," commented Steve Larkin, A & K
Finishing.
NSF-ISR is a global leader in the issuance of QS-9000 and TE Supplement
certifications. In addition to QS-9000, ISO/TS 16949 and TE Supplement
certifications, NSF-ISR offers accredited programs for ISO 9001:2000 and ISO
14001.
