REICHERT AND WHITE CAPTURE VICTORIES
CLEVES, Ohio- In the final results from Edgewater Sports Park,
Federal-Mogul Dragster driver Bill Reichert and Federal-Mogul Funny Car
pilot Marc White took home top honors.
Reichert of Owosso, Mich., took on Ken Perry of Gormley, Ont.,
Can., in the final and laid down a crowd-pleasing 5.910-second, 245.56-mph
pass to take the win.
Glendale Heights, Ill., resident White squared off against Chuck
Cheeseman of Galena, Ohio, in the Funny Car final. His 6.083-second run at
228.71 mph was enough to turn on the win lights.
Winners in other categories are Jerry Arnold of Kalamazoo, Mich.,
in Comp; Brent Voges of Defiance, Mo., in Super Stock; Bill Semprott of
Middletown, Ohio, in Stock; Ron Erks of Clinton, Ohio, in Super Comp; Rusty
Cook of Cynthiana, Ky., in Super Gas; and Jeff Goodman of Hendersonville,
Tenn., in Super Street.
In other racing action, taking home the Best Engineered Car award
was Middletown, Ohio resident Ken Sharp for his '90 Eldorado Cadillac. The
Best Appearing crew award was given to Jared Dreher and his Federal-Mogul
Dragster team from Clinton, Ind. The award for Best Appearing Car went to
the '32 Bantam driven by McConnelsville, Ohio, resident Rhett Matheny.
The North Central Division Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series makes
its next stop at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky., August
24-26.
