(August 3, 2001 - Indianapolis, IN) Jeff Gordon, the three-time NASCAR Winston Cup Champion, and his wife, Brooke announced today that The Jeff Gordon Foundation will add Riley Hospital for Children to the list of designated charities that the Foundation supports.

The Jeff Gordon Foundation established in December of 1999, supports children and families in need. The Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and The Marrow Foundation. And today, the Foundation adds Riley Hospital for Children located in Indianapolis, IN.

Jeff Gordon, driver of the #24 DuPont Chevrolet explains the choice of Riley Hospital for Children. "The state of Indiana has been important to me and to my career as a NASCAR driver. I wanted to give back to this area by supporting one of the premier children's hospitals in the nation. Brooke and I chose Riley because of their dedication to care for the most seriously ill children in Indiana. And, because of the state-of-art treatment facility and cutting edge research programs that are part of Riley," stated Gordon.

In addition to the announcement about Riley Hospital for Children, Jeff and Brooke announced the release of a special edition Jeff Gordon Foundation Diecast car to benefit the Foundation. The specially designed collector's car will debut on QVC on Thursday, August 2, 2001. This car will not be raced.
