Hyundai Sales Continue to Climb; July Sales Up 32% Over Last Year

    FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Aug. 1 Hyundai Motor America
today announced record sales of 31,189 vehicles for the month of July, up 32
percent over the previous year, and marking the sixth consecutive month of
record sales.  "Sales in July set a new all-time record for the month and
extended our streak of record sales months to six in a row," said Hyundai's
Vice President of Sales, Robert Cosmai.  "With our new product offerings,
including the new Elantra GT 5-door hatchback, and record sales of our Santa
Fe sport utility, we anticipate our strong sales will continue," he added.
    "Another factor bringing customers into Hyundai showrooms is The Hyundai
Advantage, America's Best Warranty" Cosmai said.  "Hyundai buyers are covered
by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile
bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 5-year/100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty and
5-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance protection."
