July New Car Sales Summary Reports

Acura Sets Sales Record for Ninth Consecutive Month...(Acura) Acura marks a ninth consecutive month of record-setting sales, reporting an all-time July record of 13,537. That number breaks the previous record of 13,428 set in July 1991 and is a 16.4 percent increase over last year, the company announced. Acura's year-to-date sales rose to 98,447 in July, up 24.1 percent over the same period last year.

Audi's 2001 Rapid Pace Continues With Best July Sales Ever...(Audi) The heat of summer didn't keep Audi customers out of dealerships in July as Audi of America's 2001 record-setting pace continued. Audi sales for the month were 7,974, the best July sales month ever, an increase of 21.8 percent over July 2000 when sales were 6,547. Audi year-to-date sales increased to 51,274 versus the 46,919 vehicles sold during the first seven months of last year, up 9.3 percent.

BMW Reports Strong July Sales, Monthly Sales Increase 26 Percent and Year-to-Date Sales Increase 22 Percent...(BMW) BMW of North America, LLC reported year-to-date sales of 126,303, an increase of 22 percent, over the 103,951 sold in the first seven months of 2000. BMW posted sales of 19,046 vehicles in July, compared to 15,168 in July 2000, up 26 percent. This marks the 34th consecutive month that BMW has surpassed its own monthly sales records.

Infiniti Reports July Sales...(Infiniti) Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc. reported July sales of 5,417 units. Overall, the Infiniti division reported a 27.3 percent decrease versus last year.

Jaguar Announces July Sales...(Jaguar) Jaguar North America reported 2,845 sales for the month of July 2001, a decrease from last year's record July sales. Year-to-date sales now stand at 23,113.

Kia Sets July Sales Record; July Sales Up 58 Percent Versus July 2000...(Kia) Kia announced its best July sales ever with 19,405 vehicles sold. This represents a whopping 58-percent increase over July 2000 and, with year-to-date sales of 121,038, the Korean carmaker is 39 percent ahead of last year's sales pace.

Mazda Millenia, Protege Lead July Sales...(Mazda) Mazda reported a slight decline in sales for the first time in nearly a year. July's 1.6 percent decrease is the company's first after posting a monthly sales increase for 10 consecutive months. Overall, Mazda's sales for July are 24,071 and the year-to-date sales total is 164,959 units.

Sales of 16,155 Make Best July Ever for MBUSA; Year-to-Date Sales Up 0.6 Percent Over Last Year's Record Pace...(MBUSA) Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) reported July sales of 16,155 vehicles, making this the best July on record for the company. On a year-to-date basis, the July sales pushed the company's volume to 116,371, up 0.6 percent over last year's record-setting pace (115,690).

Porsche Cars North America Reports July Sales for U.S.; July Sales Up 4 Percent...(Porsche) Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) announced U.S. retail sales totaled 2126 cars, which is a 4 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The result is the second best July in PCNA history and the best since 1986. January through July U.S. sales volume has increased by 6 percent over the same period last year.

Subaru of America, Inc. Posts Best July Ever...(Subaru) Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) announced record sales for the month of July, with 16,105 total units posted. Overall Subaru sales are up 7 percent from 2000 totals for the same period.

American Suzuki Bucks Industry Trend With Six Percent Sales Increase for Year-to-Date...(Suzuki) American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) Automotive Division posted a six percent year-to-date sales increase over 2000 sales, with sales of 38,894 units this year. ASMC's six percent increase stands apart from the majority of industry manufacturers who experienced decreased sales year-to-date.
