American Millennium Corporation Continues General Motors Corporation's GMSkyNet Project With New Purchase Order

GOLDEN, Colo.--Aug. 2, 2001--American Millennium Corporation, Inc. (OTCBB:AMCI) announced today that General Motors Corporation Truck Group continues to move forward with the award-winning GMSkyNet(R) project with a new purchase order to AMCI. This purchase order is for additional satellite airtime through 2001.
Andrew F. Cauthen, President and CEO of AMCI, said: "We are pleased that this important relationship with GM continues to move forward. AMCI announced in January of last year that AMCI engineering was providing custom in-vehicle software, subscriber communicators (SCs), antennas, vehicle interface boards, and a specialized website to be used for tracking and communication with GM's test vehicle fleet. This new purchase order for additional airtime is an indication of GM's continuing commitment to the project."
AMCI VP of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer Bruce R. Bacon said: "The General Motors Truck Group (GMTG) utilizes AMCI's technology for tracking and data communications with their test vehicles. With a GMSkyNet(R) system installed in the vehicle, from the desktop and using only a web browser, GMTG's staff can see where the vehicle is presently located on a street-level map, view engine start and stop events, and communicate directly with the vehicle's onboard data network.
