Graber Named Amcast Director

    DAYTON, Ohio--July 31, 2001--Amcast Industrial Corporation, announced today that Don R. Graber, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Huffy Corporation, has been appointed to the company board.
    Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, Huffy is a major supplier of name brand consumer products including bicycles, sports equipment, and retail service.
    Mr. Graber has been chairman, president and chief executive officer of Huffy since December 1997 and was president and chief operating officer from July 1996 to December 1997. He was formerly president of the Worldwide Household Products Group and group vice president of the Black and Decker Corporation.
