E-Power International Inc. Signs Exclusive Agreement

    HOUSTON--July 31, 2001--E-Power International Inc. (OTCBB:EPWI) (www.e-powerinternational.net) today announced that GPSWorldwide Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary, has entered into an exclusive agreement for the technology rights of a patent (the "PLU Patent") that covers the apparatus and method of transmitting satellite position systems signals (including GPS and other satellite-based navigation systems) over a cellular network to a base unit. The system provides latitude and longitude information remotely to the base unit display.

    GPSWireless

    GPSWireless provides complete location-based commerce solutions using a system architecture that includes mobile units that integrate global positioning system (GPS) receivers along with wireless cellular transceivers, as well as tracking servers.
    The technology license covers a global positioning system especially adapted for use by an individual or object that includes a portable remote unit and a base information display unit. The portable remote unit includes a radio frequency (RF) receiver circuit for use with a satellite navigation system, a digital single processors foe analyzing coded signals, a cellular phone modem circuits for transmitting encoded system to the base unit and a time of day clock. The base unit includes a computational system for decoding position data and a visual display device for presenting remote and map coordinates. The location of an individual or object can be determined at the remote station through the use of the cellular telephone network.

    Business Strategy

    GPSWorldwide has the capability to deliver a comprehensive tracking technology with broad applications in vehicle tracking, asset management and personal monitoring situations. The company plans to distribute this technology by:

    -- License other parties as Location Services Affiliates and
    support the technology delivered through these affiliates;

-- Market its location devices directly to corporate clients;
-- Introduce vehicle location tracking products into international markets;
-- Develop the system architecture and the GPSWorldwide product line including the Locator server to provide residual, air-time revenue; and
-- Pursue alliances with business partners, including: NASA, Raytheon, Sky-Tel, SAIC, United Space Alliance, Harley-Davidson, U.S. Army, SUMA Partners, Lockheed-Martin, Motorola, U.S. Navy, Vollmer, Defense Logistics, Bell South, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Elite and Tacom

    John Banks, chairman of E-Power International, stated, "E-Power's management team has over 15 years experience in the development, design and marketing of vehicle security and monitoring technology. Extensive market and product research led the company to form GPSWorldwide subsidiary to peruse global markets for tracking and locating technology based upon satellite-based global positioning systems and wireless/cellular technology.
