USAC: Rain halts Lincoln Park Midgets

Rain forced a halt to the scheduled July 28 USAC Dirt-Track Regional Midget Car event at the Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind. after two heat races had been conducted. The series now prepares for an August 12 race at the Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway.

Cole Carter and Bobby East posted heat race victories before the rains came and forced cancellation of the balance of the racing program on the 5/16-mile dirt oval.

Shane Hollingsworth continues to lead the series standings with a 15-point lead over John Wolfe.
