Schrader's Thoughts On Pocono Raceway...

"We were good when we unloaded in Pocono and all we had to make were small changes throughout the whole weekend. The race was a bit of a roller coaster because we had some trash get caught up in the carburetor late in the race and the motor would skip every once in while. We were fine once the problem worked itself out, but even then we never dropped outside the top 10. We had a great qualifying run there, the best in a while, but hopefully we can top that this weekend. We were good in June, but we expect to be even better this time."

Schrader's Chicagoland Highlights...

The "M&M's"® Racing Team is utilizing the same car that finished ninth just one month ago at Pocono. This will be the third start for this particular car in 2001, making three earlier starts this season at Pocono, The Winston Open and Coca Cola 600.
"We haven't changed a thing on that car since we got back from Pocono last month. We've got a great motor in the car and we're going there expecting to be better than we were in June."

"M&M's"® Racing Team driver Ken Schrader is a five-time pole winner at Pocono Raceway and is always a favorite during qualifying for the 2.5-mile track. Schrader's five pole positions at Pocono came in 1989b, 1992a, 1993 (both races) and 1995a. A third-place qualifying effort at there in June was the team's best performance this season.

Schrader and the "M&M's"® Racing Team tested Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the Tuesday and Wednesday prior to Pocono.
