Global Technovations Ships First Order to Major Chemical Company

    PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.--July 26, 2001--Global Technovations, Inc. (AMEX:GTN) ("GTI," or the "Company") announced today that it had shipped 56 portable, solid state spectroscopic analyzers to a major multi-billion dollar chemical company. The value of this order was approximately $275,000.
    In December 2000, GTI announced the synergistic acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Boston Advanced Technologies, Inc. ("BAT") located in Marlborough, Massachusetts now operating within the Company's OSA subsidiary. BAT, under an exclusive agreement with a multi-billion-dollar chemical company, develops and manufactures a family of portable, spectroscopic instruments for liquid petroleum marker detection systems. The automatic instruments, utilize sophisticated chemometric analysis to make accurate, in-the-field measurements of marker concentration in many forms of refined petroleum products. The marker systems are currently used by a number of governments for fuel excise tax enforcement and by gasoline and oil marketers for brand integrity and quality control.
    Will Willis, Chairman and CEO of GTI, stated, "The BAT group acquisition, now fully integrated into OSA, has exceeded our expectations. Our initial goal was to help reduce the cost of OSAs, while beginning to expand our diagnostic product line offering with corollary products. With this order we have made a major advance in attainment of this goal. During the next year we believe we will be able to increase this total to over 1,000 units."
    Mr. Willis continued, "In addition to the expansion of our OSA product line, the BAT engineering group has provided us the infrastructure to help handle the Jiffy Lube International, Inc. (`Jiffy Lube') project. We are progressing nicely with Jiffy Lube and expect to have an announcement on the rollout within the next week."
