Simula, Inc. Announces Resignation of Chief Financial Officer

    PHOENIX--July 26, 2001--Simula, Inc. (AMEX: SMU) today announced the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer, James C. Dodd. Mr. Dodd joined Simula in 1999 as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Mr. Dodd will assist the Company for an interim period in ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities to his successor and with financial and investor relations.
    The Company said it is engaged in a search for Mr. Dodd's successor.
