Motion Industries Receives 2000 Supplier Award Given by J. Ray McDermott

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--July 25, 2001--Motion Industries was named a 2000 Top Supplier at a recent luncheon given by J. Ray McDermott, Inc, a leading worldwide marine construction company. A total of twenty-six suppliers were honored, with only four receiving the designation of Top Supplier. The winners were chosen from a large base of more than 1,000 suppliers by J. Ray's Offshore, Fabrication, and Purchasing management. The announcement was made by J. Ray McDermott's Manager of Materials and Transportation, Allen Hamilton.

    The J. Ray McDermott Top Supplier award honors suppliers each year who highly regard quality, schedule, support, and contribution to cost reduction. Motion Industries was recognized as an honored valued supplier for their importance to J. Ray McDermott and for their excellent working relationship. Motion Industries was further recognized as one of the top four suppliers for exemplifying concern for safety; concern for the business relationship; creativity and innovation; communication; cooperation; after working-hours crisis situation support; competitiveness; and quality.
