Jacobs Subsidiary Sverdrup Finalizes Operations Contract with Delphi
SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--July 25, 2001--Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that its subsidiary Sverdrup Technology, Inc. has finalized a contract to provide operations support for Delphi Automotive Systems.Officials did not disclose the contract value.
This effort involves test operations of climatic wind tunnels and component test laboratories at Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems' Western New York facilities. Sverdrup employs a combined workforce at these facilities of more than 160 personnel.
In making the announcement, Sverdrup Technology President Rogers Starr stated, "Delphi Automotive Systems is the world's largest supplier of automotive components, and these test facilities are critical to the development of its thermal management products. As a relationship-based company, we are excited to have this opportunity to further develop our partnership with Delphi and support them in enhancing operations at their facilities."
