"EVE OF DESTRUCTION" READY TO ROCK WITH "CAPTAIN EXPLOSION"

WEST LEBANON, NY - Once again Lebanon Valley Speedway will go the extra mile 
to bring their great fans a one of a kind show. The "Eve of Destruction" 
presented by FOX 23TV, WXXA in Albany, NY and The Institute for 
Entrepreneurship will take place Monday August 13 at 7:30PM. FOX 23 is the 
home of FOX FAST TRACK; the Capital Districts only local television show 
dedicated solely to the world on wheels.
    Highlighting this exciting event will be "Captain Explosion". This 
Daredevil Stuntman Extrordinaire will be on hand for the "Eve of Destruction" 
to perform some awesome feats. We don' want to spoil the secret of exactly 
what "Captain Explosion" will be doing but you can be sure it will be 
thrilling. He has been known to blow himself up inside a car, perform 
exciting motorcycle jumps through walls of flame and drive a car completely 
through a mobile home. You won't want to miss seeing just what "Captain 
Explosion" has in store for us Monday August 13th at Lebanon Valley Speedway.
    The Green Mamba Jet Car will put on an awesome display of pure jet power. 
In the evening the lights will go down and the Mamba will do a Massive Car 
Meltdown!
An assortment of other events will also be part of the "Eve of Destruction". 
$1,000.00 will be on the line to the winner of the School Bus race. We 
anticipate a field of 10 to 12 School Busses will be gunning for the big 
bucks.
$1,000.00 will also be up for grabs in the Trailer Race. This should really 
be something to see. Racecars will tow trailers behind them. The object is to 
be the first car with a trailer still attached across the finish line at the 
end of the race. If the trailer comes off during the race, that car will be 
disqualified.
In the Paper Bag Race there will be a driver and passenger. The driver must 
wear a paper bag over his/her helmet and operate the car. The passenger will 
not wear a paper bag and will tell the driver where to steer the car.
The object of Spin 2 Win is for the driver to drive the car backwards into 
the 2nd turn, spin the car 180 degrees and race back to the start/finish 
line. The driver completing this in the fastest time will be the winner.
Roll Over Madness will have the fans flipping in their seats. Small compact 
cars will drive over a ramp with their right front tire and try to roll the 
car over as many times as they can. Points will be awarded for the number of 
times the car rolls over. The car with the most points wins.
Pick Up Truck fans will love what we have in store for them. We will match up 
a number of pick up trucks to do Tug-O-War against each other. The trucks 
will be lined up tailgate to tailgate and be connected with a nylon tow 
strap. They will tug against each other till one truck is pulled across a 
chalk line. This will be an elimination event with one truck being the 
champion.
For the first time we ever we will hold a Dual Demolition Derby. 12 V-8 cars 
will smash-em-up on one end of the speedway while 12 4-cylinder car go at it 
on the other end at the same time. The top 2 cars from each demo will then 
crash and smash each other at the start/finish line and an overall winner 
will be crowned. 
The men and women will compete in cannonball run races. These popular enduro 
type races are a great way for someone to get started in racing. They are 
very competitive and the women really know how to put on a great show.
