John's personality coupled with his skill as a race car driver, and his clean driving, makes this a natural partnership" said John Flynn, CEO of New Media Marketing & Events, Inc. the agency representing CBS.Sportsline.com on the deal.

The Fantasy Racing League game is one of the most popular features of the site, offering visitors an opportunity to pick the winning driver of NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series races using a point system. The winners will not only be able to attend the race, but will be part of the action as they serve as honorary members of the John Kinder pit crew.

"We are indeed excited about being selected to serve as the Grand Prize for the CBS.Sportsline Fantasy Racing League," said John Kinder. "This will bring national attention to the Hooter's Series, which has already earned a reputation as America's premier short track racing series for full body steel race cars," he added. "We look forward to greeting the winners and making their experience at the races a day they will always remember," Kinder said.

DATELINE, Radford, Virginia; John Kinder, driver of the MultiMedia Graphics &
Production Monte Carlo had another top ten finish at the tough New River
Valley Speedway in Radford, Virginia. This marks Kinder's fourth top 10
finish in the last five races!

"We had a tough start at the beginning of the season, then we started to try
some new set ups to compensate for being down on horsepower and the first
half of the season was really tough, but, the team regrouped and we went back
to the basics and it is really helping to turn our program around. I had
about a top ten car this weekend, and was pleased to finish 8th. The car was
a little tight all night, but the crew did an incredible job. The crew
clicked off a 15 second pit stop which gave me the track position I needed to
stay in the top ten. These guys are awesome!" Kinder said after his 8th place
finish.

The young driver who hails from Santa Ana, California in the last three races
has improved his performance substantially averaging 11th on the starting
grid and consistently finishing in the top ten. In his last five races,
Kinder posted 11th, 20th, 10th, 5th and 8th place finishes which has been a
marked improvement over the first half of the season. Kinder now stands in
12th place in the point standings.

"The team just gets better and better. This is a very tough series and it
takes time to sort everything out. I think everyone associated with the team
is doing a great job and I am still optimistic John and the crew will visit
Victory Lane yet this season maybe even more than once" said Wellington Hall,
CFO of PowerBase Motorsports, Inc.

Goodson Uses Perseverance to Score Fifth-Place Finish at New River Valley
USAR ProCup Series Driver Fights Adversity to Stay in Championship Hunt

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., (July 23, 2001) -- Hal Goodson and his Taylor
Motorsports team proved Saturday night that a "never give up attitude" will
allow you to overcome any obstacle. Goodson battled his way back to a
fifth-place finish in USAR ProCup Series action at New River Valley Speedway
in Radford, Va.

"It was one of those nights," Goodson said. "We were off on the setup and
had problems in the pits and played catch up all night. The guys on this
team never gave up and by the end of the race, we running with the leaders.
Considering how our night started, I'm glad to get out of here with a
top-five finish."

After a disappointing qualifying effort that saw the Darlington, S.C. native
start from the 16th position, Goodson used patience to move the No. 45
Carlin Financial Chevrolet Monte Carlo into the top 10.

In the early stages of the event a caution came out, allowing Goodson to
come in for a scheduled pit stop. During the stop, a tire got away from the
team's pit stall, forcing Goodson to remain on pit road until the loose
wheel was brought back to the pit box. The mishap resulted in Goodson going
a lap down to the leaders.

On the restart, Goodson was lined up on the inside row and was in position
to get his lap back. When the green flag waved, Goodson quickly rocketed
away from the leaders and placed himself back on the lead lap.

Now on the lead lap, Goodson worked his way back into the top 10 until he
was tapped in the rear by another machine and was sent into a spin cycle. He
would recover, however, without incident. Quick pit work by his crew allowed
Goodson to remain on the lead lap.

As the race was reaching the closing stages, Goodson was running in ninth
and had his sights set on the leaders. When the leaders tangled and brought
out a caution, Goodson had himself in position to strike. When the checkered
flag waved, however, Goodson had to settle for fifth-place honors. The
fifth-place finish allowed Goodson to stay in a heated battle with
race-winner Bobby Gill in the USAR ProCup Series point's chase.

"Tonight showed the strength of everyone on this team," said Crew Chief
Colan Ingle. "We had a costly pit stop at the beginning, but the guys never
gave up and Hal kept digging all night to get us a top-five finish. We'll be
ready for them at Hickory."

Goodson and his Taylor Motorsports team get a weekend off before heading
back into USAR ProCup Series competition August 4th at Hickory (N.C.) Motor
Speedway.

Catch Goodson battle back from adversity at New River Valley Speedway this
Thursday at 9:00 p.m. EST on SpeedVision.

Mart Nesbitt Team Release

NESBITT SCORES CAREER BEST SECOND AT NEW RIVER VALLEY SPEEDWAY

(July 20,2001) Mart Nesbitt and his Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia / GlaxoSmithKline / Coca-Cola race team scored a career best second place finish in the Hooter's ProCup, Kroger 250. This was the third top 5 and fifth top 10 of 2001 for the talented team from Asheville, NC.

Mart indicated, "We were very confident going into this weekend at New River Valley. We had strong cars at both Hickory and Lonesome Pine Raceway earlier in the year, and felt this track was similar enough to use much of what we learned at those previous races to give us a good competitive race car capable of winning the race". The team practiced all morning on old tires and concentrated on getting the car to be consistent and run the preferred line versus running a quick one or two laps. As a result, they were officially around mid-pack after practice.

"I felt like we had a good handling race car after practice, but when we looked at the time sheets, I was a little concerned about qualifying. I knew track position would be a premium and I desperately wanted to get a good starting position", stated Nesbitt. The team accomplished that goal with a solid 6th place starting position.

At the start of the race, the field went green for nearly 75 laps. The number 30 car stayed in the top 5 during this run, but began to get loose the longer the race went. They then decided track position was too valuable to pit early and decided to stay out until past the halfway point. They remained in the top 10 until pitting during a caution just past the halfway point of the race.

The crew did an excellent job pitting the car and making the necessary adjustments to the car. "The car started off very good, but as we went, I began to loose forward bite. We made some wedge and air pressure changes during the pit stop and the car was awesome for the rest of the race", replied the driver of car #30.

The team steadily worked its way back into the fourth position with about 40 laps to go. The then leaders of the race, Jeff Agnew and Jay Fogleman, made contact and both spun on lap 247. That put Bobby Gill in the lead with Nesbitt in second followed by Toby Robertson for a Green, White, Checker finish. On the restart, Nesbitt got a good jump on Gill and attempted to pass him on the inside in turn 1, however, Gill was strong enough to regain the lead and went on to win the race by one car length. After the race, Mart said, "We had a great car and we made the most of our chances tonight. Bobby was better than us for a few laps, then we would run him down. I might could have gotten him if I had more than two laps, but that's racing. Hopefully, we can get our first win at Hickory in two weeks."
