Valeo Receives Honda Performance Award

    AUBURN HILLS, Mich.--July 20, 2001--Valeo, a leading supplier of innovative components, systems, and modules for cars and trucks, was presented this year's Honda Quality Performance Award, recognizing the company's superior supply of radiator assemblies for the Honda Accord.
    This was the second consecutive year Valeo received the Quality Performance Award since the Company began supplying Honda's Marysville, Ohio facility. In 2000, Valeo Engine Cooling received a double award for Quality and Delivery performance. Honda also recognized Valeo Wiper Systems that year for delivery achievement.
    Honda executives presented the award on behalf of Koki Hirashima, president of Honda of America Mfg., Inc. at this year's Honda Supplier Conference recently held in Ontario at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.
    "This recognition is for continuous dedication toward the achievement of quality for April 2000 through March 2001," Honda noted. Taka Taguchi, program manager and David Slaman, managing director of Engine Cooling, Valeo North America Automotive, accepted the award.
