Ashland Inc. to Webcast June Quarter Earnings Conference Call; Monday, July 23, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. EDT

    COVINGTON, Ky.--July 20, 2001--Ashland Inc. today announced that on Monday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. (EDT), it will provide a live audio webcast of its quarterly conference call with securities analysts. The call will cover results for the quarter ended June 30, the third quarter of Ashland's 2001 fiscal year, and will include an outlook for the remainder of the fiscal year, which will end September 30, 2001.
    Robert C. Hughes, director of corporate business development and investor relations, will host the call. Participating in the call will be J. Marvin Quin, senior vice president and chief financial officer, and William A. Thompson, director of financial reporting.
    The webcast will be accessible via Ashland's Investor Relations website, www.ashland.com/investors. Following the live event, replays of the webcast will be available on the Ashland website until August 6, 2001.
