Nissan North America, Inc. recently announced the appointment of Ron Stukenberg to the newly created position of corporate manager, motorsports operations, NNA, effective immediately.

Stukenberg, a 19-year Nissan veteran, is responsible for integrating motorsports projects with Nissan and Infiniti brand and model line marketing programs. In addition to current motorsports efforts in the Indy Racing Northern Light Series, Championship Off Road Racing series, Grand American ROLEX Sportscar Series, and Sports Car Club of America, Stukenberg will work with model line managers to develop future motorsports programs in support of NNA marketing and sales objectives.

Stukenberg reports directly to Steve Kight, director of marketing, Infiniti Division, and director of motorsports, NNA. "We are pleased to have Ron join the motorsports department," Kight said. "His background of working on the front lines of our sales and marketing force will be extremely beneficial in maintaining and developing motorsports programs that express Nissan's passion for performance and its objective to sell vehicles.

"Ron's appointment completes the reorganization of our motorsports department. With Bernard Dudot handling the technical issues of our Infiniti Indy program, as the Indy Racing program manager and Ron handling the operations side of both Nissan and Infiniti motorsports programs, we are ready for the future."

Stukenberg is an avid motorsports fan and competitor, having raced midgets in events sanctioned by United States Auto Club (USAC) and United Midget Auto Racing Association (UMARA) in the Midwest.
