Kenworth Names Sheldon as Used Truck Sales Manager

KIRKLAND, Wash., July 19, 2001 - Kenworth Truck Company has named John
Sheldon to the position of Kenworth Used Truck Sales Manager.

Sheldon will be responsible for working with used truck managers within the
Kenworth dealer network to facilitate used truck sales.

Sheldon has worked in various marketing and sales positions at Kenworth
since 1986. He also has extensive experience in the automotive industry,
including branch manager for GELCO/TIP Trailer Leasing, district manager and
marketing manager for Caterpillar.  He earned his B.A. degree in
Agricultural Engineering from Washington State University.
