Metaldyne Signs Full-Service Supplier Agreement With BorgWarner TorqTransfer Systems
Deal Calls for Metaldyne to Become the Key Source for Forged Components PLYMOUTH, Mich., July 19 Metaldyne Corporation announced today that it has signed a full-service supplier agreement with BorgWarner TorqTransfer Systems, Inc. The agreement calls for Metaldyne to produce forged components including a broad range of shafts and gears for use in BorgWarner four-wheel-drive transfer cases. Under the agreement, Metaldyne has delivered initial shipments of a family of forged shafts and gears for several new transfer case applications BorgWarner has been awarded by a major North American carmaker for use in a popular line of full-size, four wheel drive vehicles including SUVs. At full production, the contract is valued at nearly $11 million annually.
