Siemens Selects BAX Global; Two-year Contract Covers Siemens' Heavy Weight Shipments

Siemens Selects BAX Global; Two-year Contract Covers Siemens' Heavy Weight Shipments

IRVINE, Calif., July 19 Siemens, a global leader in
information, communications and power equipment, selected BAX Global as its
preferred carrier for its U.S. heavy weight expedited shipments.
BAX Global, a worldwide transportation and supply-chain management company
based here, was also designated as Siemens' endorsed international package
service carrier.
The two-year contract, which began in May, covers heavy weight domestic
shipments for all Siemens' companies, ranging from mobile phones to lighting
components and from patient care products to power systems.
"We've been working with Siemens since 1992 and our global perspective on
managing logistics solutions for our customers is what makes us stand out from
the competition, especially for a global leader like Siemens," said Joey
Carnes, BAX Global's President. "We're very excited about being named
Siemens' first choice when it comes to heavy weight transportation in the
U.S."
The critical factors in winning the contract, according to Carnes, were
BAX's global account base, strong global sales management of their account,
local divisional support, past service excellence and pricing.
"After a thorough review and analysis process, we are very pleased to have
selected BAX Global for our U.S. heavyweight expedited transportation," said
Ahmet Sanal, of Siemens' North American Traffic Council. The council, made up
of participants from all Siemens divisions, meets regularly to discuss company
logistics issues and to select preferred logistics partners.
"We've been working with BAX for many years now and their ability to
manage our growing logistics needs across a diverse array of businesses has
been extremely impressive," said Sanal. "We see their selection as our first
choice in this arena to be a natural extension of the partnership work they've
been performing for us all along."
"The many Siemens' companies and BAX have enjoyed excellent cooperative
working relationships over the years," said Ron Baumbach, BAX's Global Account
Director for the Siemens account. "Their core goals become our motives for
service excellence and we truly strive to mold our supply chain services to
fulfill their requirements."
