SDRC today announced the immediate availability of its TeamCenter(TM) collaborative product management solutions: Collaboration Foundation, Product Collaboration and Project Collaboration. These solutions provide the infrastructure, knowledge management system and real-time workspace, respectively, to share, manage and use product information across the entire lifecycle enabling companies to achieve strategic business results with faster time-to-market, higher quality products, and lower costs.
"SDRC's TeamCenter addresses the critical elements of the entire product lifecycle in a potentially revolutionary manner," said Ed Miller, president, CIMdata, Inc. "TeamCenter not only captures the intellectual assets of today's virtual enterprise, but also brings these assets to the right user at the right time for true lifecycle decision support."
TeamCenter Collaboration Foundation controls and manages product information for the entire virtual enterprise, allowing globally dispersed teams to author, share, and access product information throughout the product lifecycle. Collaboration Foundation is the basis for targeted solutions for specific lifecycle requirements. Product Collaboration and Project Collaboration are the first two of these solutions.
TeamCenter Product Collaboration enables the enterprise, and its partners, supply chain and customers, to capture, share and manage dispersed product information. It reduces development cycles times and costs by managing product information and development processes.
TeamCenter Project Collaboration enables users to create, share, and manage project information. It reduces product development costs by synchronizing project teams' tasks and schedules throughout the value chain, enabling informed resource distribution.
"TeamCenter is the only web-native solution that unites the critical technologies essential for collaboratively managing all aspects of creating products -- requirements, designs, configurations, documents, and related business information," said Glenn Wienkoop, president and COO, SDRC. "Based on Sun Microsystem's Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), the recognized standard for today's Internet-based e-business framework, TeamCenter fully embraces the web for managing the product lifecycle and is the first CAD-neutral collaborative product management solution in the industry."
