Benteler Automotive Receives the DaimlerChrysler Corporation Gold Award for Outstanding Supplier Performance

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., July 17 Benteler Automotive announced
today that it has received the DaimlerChrysler Corporation Gold Award for
2000.  The company earned the award for outstanding supplier performance at
its tubular door beam manufacturing facility, located in Grand Rapids, Mich.

OEMs on track with aggressive production schedules," said Ken Hurst, vice

    The DaimlerChrysler Corporation Gold Award recognizes suppliers annually
for excellence in the quality and delivery of products and services.
Selection criteria include: quality of materials, warranty, production
flexibility and timeliness of shipments.  Benteler Automotive supplies
DaimlerChrysler with side intrusion door beams and bumper reinforcements.
