DENVER--July 16, 2001--Kolorfusion International's (OTCBB:KOLR) President, Steve Nagel, announced that the Company has entered a License Agreement with Summit Marine, LLC, a new sister company to Triton Boats, Inc. Triton Boats is the leading manufacturer of fiberglass fishing and hunting boats, with over 700 employees and an extensive dealer network throughout North America (www.tritonboats.com). The start-up of Summit Marine is the Triton entry into the aluminum fishing and hunting boat markets for Triton's owner, Earl Bentz, and his partner Phil Faulkner, President of Summit Marine.
"Kolorfusion believed that its patented 3-dimensional surface decoration technology could be used to fully decorate an aluminum boat. Summit Marine was looking for a new method to provide a camouflage design on their new aluminum boats, so the two companies have worked together during the past few months with the first showing at the recent Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival in Memphis, Tenn. Traditional methods to create a camo look on a boat is done by the use of patterned stencils, and then painting each color of the pattern. Our process actually transfers (via ink sublimation) the full camo design into the marine coating on the boat's surface. Essentially, it is as if you had the magic paint brush," stated Nagel.
The Kolorfusion process will be done at Summit Marine's new 200,000-sq.-ft. facility in Aberdeen, Mississippi. The License is exclusive for the first 2 years of the 20-year License, and the boats will be marketed under the Triton name. "We know we make top-of-the-line aluminum fishing and hunting boats, but what we wanted to do is offer our consumers and dealers a better-looking and more durable finish for the camouflage market. The Kolorfusion-finished boats in Memphis were real head turners at the show. We are completing the installation of the additional equipment for the Kolorfusion process and are finalizing our marine weather testing," stated Faulkner.
"The Licensing of Summit, together with our recent announcement of our license with Dee Zee, Inc. (www.deezee.com), again is testimony to the ability of our process to provide the manufacturer significant market differentiation and added value to the consumer. If you look at our website (www.kolorfusion.com) you will see the increasing usage of our patented technology as we grow with companies like Gerber, Tru-Glo, Daisy Sunrise Medical, True Temper and others," stated Nagel.
Kolorfusion's opportunities for processing and licensing are nearly endless. Manufacturers of appliances, electronic equipment, recreational products, office products, home interiors, plumbing fixtures, automotive parts and others can utilize this breakthrough technology to permanently decorate their products with virtually any color and design. As Kolorfusion moves forward with the introduction of its innovative technology, more and more major manufacturers will become users of this revolutionary process on a global basis.
